Scalable and Cost-Effective Synthesis of 2D Materials

摘要

Nowadays, low-dimensional materials, especially two-dimensional (2D) materials show their importance in a wide range of applications in almost all sectors of science and technology such as energy, electronics, optics, and quantum information. However, their properties are sometimes compromised due to their availability, cost, and high-quality large-scale 2D materials. Earlier, apart from graphene, the literature was limited to the scalable method of production for other 2D materials, which are new in the family; however, shown their potential in various important applications. The scalable and economical synthesis should be at the forefront of a ‘Lab-to-Fab’ transition. In the past few years, a significant advancement has been carried out. Several researchers attempted the synthesis of high-quality large-scale 2D materials. The present book chapter deals with the synthesis of low-cost 2D materials of different types and their scalability. Along with the synthesis a few real-time example was also included for the synthesis of 2D material and their application.
