Research on Bearing Capacity Size Effect of RC Frame Considering Material Size Effect

The size effect correction formulas of peak strength and peak strain of concrete materials are summarized by using regression analysis theory and Bažant size effect law. The finite element software Seismostruct is used to simulate the unidirectional nappe of three groups of plane frame structures with different sizes of modified materials, and the simulation results are compared with the experimental results. The results show that the bearing capacity of the structure decreases with the increase of size, and the simulation results considering the size effect correction are closer to the test results, so it is suggested that the material size effect correction should be taken into account in the structural design analysis.
