Point-of-Interest Recommendation Using IoT

The tourist business is evolving gradually due to the rise of smart tourism and advancements in communication and information technologies. The Internet of Things (IoT) is a crucial element for Point-of-Interest (POI)-based smart tourism. IoT for smart tourism is difficult to implement, though because it requires low latency connections and handling of massive amounts of data. To this end, we discuss IoT solutions powered by artificial intelligence (AI) for smart tourism in this article. Unlocking IoT-based smart tourism applications requires efficient AI-driven data processing. We provide a case study on POI suggestion to show how well IoT method performs.
