Invention and Innovation Process

Invention and innovation are key functions of entrepreneurship process. Invention is the foundation of innovation as invention creates the knowledge required for innovation. Therefore, invention involves in creation of knowledge whereas innovation involves in creation of goods and services which includes means, methods, systems, formulas, and designs also. Invention and innovation are complementary to each other. Invention is not useful either to the customer or to the entrepreneur as long as something useful is not produced.
