Introduction to Entrepreneurship

The terms entrepreneur and entrepreneurship are believed to have been transliterated by J.B. SaySay, J.B. \i from the French term “entreprendreEntreprendre \i” (ɑ̃.tʁə.pʁɑ̃dʁ), in early 1800. The word “entreprendre” has been constructed in the conjugation of “entre” (between) and “prendre” (take) which means “undertaking.” As of today, entrepreneurship encompasses key functions such as invention, innovationInnovation \i, interventionIntervention, business modeling, venture creation, and growth management. Entrepreneurship creates organizations that are large or small, of government or non-government, public or private, for or not for profit. Every organization, wanting to achieve goals, requires designated administrative system for effective functioning.
