Accessible Soliton Breathers in Diffraction-Managed Media

摘要

In this article, we discuss the energy optimization of accessible soliton breathers in a diffraction-managed system consisting of alternately positive and negative diffracting media. The system was modeled using a nonlocal nonlinear Schrödinger equation and solved analytically as well as numerically. We determined the initial beam energy required for diffraction-managed solitons for both local and average diffraction values. The results indicate that the diffraction-managed system requires less energy for soliton formation at higher diffraction values than a constant diffraction system. Conversely, at lower diffraction values, the diffraction-managed system requires slightly more energy. However, an intermediate diffraction value allows for an energy-matching point between diffraction-managed and constant diffraction systems, making it easier to use both systems in a single network if required.
