Reviews of Australia’s Child Protection Systems

Australian State Governments have sponsored many inquiries into their child protection systems. This chapter reviews four Inquiries of which three have been conducted into the child protection system of one State. The chapter summarises findings and recommendations made to change practices in child protection systems. A brief review is provided of initiatives reported in international studies on topics raised in the reviews.
