Development of Generation Z’s Digital Competencies Through Online Learning

In this article issues are being discussed about the experience of developing digital competencies of Z-generation in Kazakhstan within the framework of the online learning program for teachers. In this article we consider the Z-generation as young teachers of secondary schools. The Kazakh online distance learning platform miras.academy was used as a learning tool. About 1500 teachers were trained using this platform in 2020–2022. The main purpose of the training was to combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills. The authors also set a goal to study how online learning can be useful for a teacher and how a teacher can effectively use the acquired knowledge and skills in working with. During the learning, the authors collected data from course participants on the effectiveness of online practice through group conversations on social networks. In addition, the authors in this article share practical experience of how to achieve good results in reaching a large number of interested teachers through online tools.
