Two Switched Impedance Source Network Inverter Simulation and Implementation for Enhanced PV System Performance
摘要
There is a growing reliance on alternative energy sources, especially renewable energy, as a result of the growing need for energy. Solar energy has been used a lot lately to meet the rising demand. Nevertheless, the energy generated by the photovoltaic (PV) cell cannot power the loads directly. Therefore, in order to raise the voltage level to the necessary level, an additional interface power converter is needed. Traditional converters are inefficient because they need a lot of intermediate steps. This paper explores a two switched impedance (Z) network-based voltage source inverter which eliminated the need for multiple stage power conversions along with various modulation techniques such as simple boost, maximum boost, and maximum constant boost control techniques. The simulation and comparative study were carried out with the help of MATLAB/Simulink along with its hardware prototype. The comparison is brought in terms of its performance parameters and the results are validated.
