Determinants of Rice Farm Productivity in Vietnam
摘要
Vietnam is an agricultural country, and rice production has been a cornerstone of the economy for a long time. It is important to understand the determinants of rice production and productivity. This research aims at identifying factors important to rice farm productivity in Vietnam. It analyzes the relationship between rice yield and several key factors: rice cultivation area, rice export, Gross Domestic Production (GDP) growth, employment in agriculture, and fertilizer consumption. The study explores how fluctuations in rice cultivation areas influence rice output, highlighting the importance of land allocation in rice farming. It also investigates the role of international trade, particularly how rice export affects domestic production. The analysis also considers the effects of macroeconomic indicator, GDP growth on rice yield, emphasizing their influence on agricultural stability. The relationship between employment in agriculture and rice output are also scrutinized to understand the socioeconomic implications of the rice industry. Finally, the study examines the fertilizer consumption, a critical factor in enhancing crop yields, and its relationship with rice production.
