The Effects of Climate Change on Vietnamese Agriculture
摘要
Vietnam, located in Southeast Asia, is currently facing challenges due to climate change with impact on economy and society. This study provides a thorough analysis of Vietnam's historical, current climate trends and offers predictions for the future. In this paper, the authors utilize data from FAO to emphasize the significant connection between Vietnam's agricultural sector, a vital component of the nation's economy, and climate change. Over the past thirty-one years, these environmental challenges have disrupted farming, resulting in lower productivity, decreased product quality, and reduced farm incomes. This study analyses issues faced by rural communities, including CO2 emissions, temperature, precipitation and ecosystem damage, agricultural land area, fertilizer consumption, and labour force increases in agricultural sector. This research underscores the significance of implementation of effective policies, and the receipt of international support to tackle the challenges and bolster Vietnam’s capacity to both adapt to and mitigate the potential impacts of changing climate.
