Modeling Scalable Lab Environment for Academia Through Kubernetes Cluster
摘要
This paper introduces a Moodle Plugin designed to enrich the experiential learning aspect of an e-learning portal. Employing Docker technology for efficient lab deployment, the Virtual Laboratory Environment (VLE) seamlessly integrates with a PHP-based e-learning platform, offering a versatile and accessible platform for diverse experiments. Key features include the use of Docker containers stored in a private repository, ensuring consistency and reproducibility. This containerized approach allows for isolated and portable lab environments, eliminating concerns about software dependencies. This PHP-based e-learning portal in PHP acts as a centrally coordinated source of theory, instructions, and practical exercises. The marriage of the Docker technology with the PHP-based e-learning portal provides a versatile, replicable, and user-friendly platform for active hands-on learning and skills development in all the laboratory experiments covered in this VLE.
