Application of MOFs in Membrane Modification for Treatment of Wastewater: A Review
摘要
Biodiversity and water pollution are serious issues that must be tackled rapidly and have garnered extensive attention from the research community and industry in recent years. The ever-expanding scale of industry and agriculture has led to a gradually increasing amount of contaminants (such as heavy metal ions, oily wastewater, natural organic matter, synthetic colors, and antibiotics) in natural resources. The prospective utilization of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) in purifying contaminated water by separating pollutants has received much attention. The use of MOF for modifying membranes for contaminant separation is investigated in this paper. The crucial aspect is that separation performance and anti-fouling capability can be significantly improved by incorporating MOFs into the membrane.
