Design and Optimization of Grid Integrated Solar Energy System Using HOMER Software—A Case Study
摘要
Renewable energy sources (RES) are a necessity nowadays to overcome many environmental issues and increased energy demand. Many factors should be considered before the actual installation of any of the RES so that the estimation and projection can be made in many ways. This paper's primary goal is to use Hybrid Optimization Model for Electric Renewable (HOMER) software to compare the existing hybrid grid at an educational institute in Haryana, India. Currently, the institute uses the hybrid technique to fulfill the load demand. The cost of energy (COE) is calculated using HOMER software and compared with the data obtained from the installed smart meters. Solar photovoltaics has been installed to fulfill the load demand of the institute, and excess power generation can be sold to the grid. This study includes the COE and various factors affecting the net present cost (NPC) and their variation.
