Creating a sustainable environment requires usage of the natural fibers as composite reinforcements. Natural fibers are likely to include toxins and other unfavorable elements when collected from a plant, soil, or animal. Reinforcements take over as the primary means of carrying loads in a composite material as output of removal of these undesirable components and improvement of green fiber strengths, aiding the composite in attaining significant mechanical qualities. As a requirement, various pretreatment techniques are used for green fibers like jute, banana, kenaf, flax fibers etc. The techniques include a variety of chemical processes as well as drying, heating in a flame, and other steps. These processes aid in enhancing the green fiber's surface coarseness enhancing the connection between the fiber and matrix. This paper provides an understandable picture of the various pre-treatment methods employed in various studies and their effects on the physical composition of the composite (blended) elements.
