Digital printing has become an increasingly popular method for printing on textiles in recent years. It has shown a significant impact on fashion and textile design, offering new design, customization, and sustainable possibilities for designers and manufacturers. This study is an effort towards understanding of how the method of digital printing on fabric apparently has been more useful and by employing it more spontaneous designs or patterns can be achieved. In terms of future potential, digital printing has several opportunities for growth. Use of sustainable and eco-friendly materials for digital printing is one such area. As consumers become more conscious of their environmental impact, the demand for sustainable textiles and printing methods is expected to increase. Digital printing can offer a more sustainable alternative to traditional printing methods, as it generates less waste and requires fewer chemicals and lesser water and energy usage. The growth of the digital textile printing industry not only caters to the creative aspects but also can contribute to better economic growth of a nation by creating jobs, increasing exports, generating revenue, promoting innovation, and encouraging sustainability. India is one of the leading countries in the global market for digital printed textiles. India has a long history of textile production and has been investing in digital printing technology in recent years. As technology advances and customers become more aware of its advantages, the demand for digital printing in fashion is predicted to increase. As a result, more designers and producers are anticipated to include digital printing into their manufacturing procedures, expanding the variety of distinctive and customised designs available in the fashion sector. This paper tries to analyse the importance of digital printing industry and its potential growth in coming times in the global platform of fashion and textile design.
