  • Pedro Henrique Batista Barbosa

摘要

After almost two decades of rapid progress in the four pillarpillars of the bilateral oiloil relationship, there is no sufficient evidences to predict a futurefuture of major setbacks. The fluctuating tradetrade figures for 2020 and 2021 seemed to not indicate a reversal of the growth pattern of the last decade, but rather the start of a process of maturing and consolidating the progress made in previous years. The rebound of ChineseChinese importsimports from BrazilBrazil in 2023 may be an indication. New fluctuationfluctuations are possible and expected in the coming years, but they might not alter the prospect of maintaining and/or expanding commercial, business, and financial ties. Looking at the prospects and possible future scenarios for the BrazilianBrazilian and Chinese oil industries in the coming years and decades, the circumstantial complementaritycomplementarity that has marked the ties so far might continue to be the main driving force behind the relationship.
