Performance Analysis of Controllers in DC Motor Using LABVIEW

摘要

In this work, multiple controllers for DC motor speed control are compared. DC Motor speed can be controlled by various techniques by using different tuning algorithms. DC motor finds wide application in industries since they give high response and can be easily controlled. A fuzzy PID controller is used to increase the DC motor speed regulation’s reliability. Fuzzy is the latest emerging technology that combines control theory, optimization techniques, and artificial intelligence techniques. Fuzzified PID controller has more performance to maintain the motor speed irrespective of change in load. In this work, the speed of DC motor is controlled by PID, Fuzzy, and Fuzzified PID Controller using LABVIEW and performance is evaluated by contrasting factors like rise time and settling time. A comparison was done between these different controllers and analyzed.
