Design of Eight-Element 5G Smart Phone Antenna Using Decoupling Technique

摘要

Communication systems must deliver information with high speed rates, high reliableness, and better signal transmission quality due to the excessive use of digital platforms and the rapidly growing number of users in the wireless domain. Single antenna wireless systems are unable to fulfill the required requirements. In order to achieve higher data rates with good isolation level, an 8 × 8 MIMO antenna is used. The suggested method describes an eight-element MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) antenna configuration that is 3.98 GHz-resonant, 150 × 70 mm 2 by 0.8 mm thick, and made of an affordable FR4 substrate. It is determined that the port isolation level is less than −20 dB and gain is 7.6 dB. The straightforward design and thin construction of this model will be advantageous for upcoming smartphones. Efficiency and ECC measurements are also looked at to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed antenna.
