DSM Diagnostic System for Family Relationship Issues

For some years there has been tension amongst mental health professionals about how to integrate information from standard frameworks that diagnose mental disorders, and information about dynamics that occur in vulnerable families. This chapter identifies mental disorders that are most relevant for understanding dysfunctional parent–child relationships that are raised in court hearings involving vulnerable families.
