Numerical Simulation of Ultimate Bearing Capacity of Corroded Pipeline under Coupling Load

Based on the ductile damage theory of metal materials, this paper systematically studies the ultimate bearing capacity of corroded pipeline subjected to axial force, bending moment and pressure by using fluid cavity simulation technology. For pipelines with different corrosion characteristics, the interaction diagram of the bearing capacity of corroded pipeline is established by considering the coupling effect of medium properties, pressure, external axial force and bending moment. The numerical simulation results show that the depth of corrosion strongly affects the bearing capacity of corroded pipeline. With the increase of defect depth, the N-M ( axial force and bending moment ) interaction curve of corroded pipeline gradually flattened. And the results can truly reflect the damage phenomenon.
