Voice-Based Accessibility: Open AI's GPT

摘要

Voice GPT using OpenAI represents OpenAI's dedication to advancing AI technology, and addressing a current research gap. However, the current AI landscape lacks a versatile, user-friendly AI assistant that seamlessly combines text and voice interactions. Our objective is to develop Voice GPT, an innovative AI companion that integrates text-based chat, voice interaction, and audio tasks, overcoming this gap. Employing a hybrid methodology, blending pre-trained AI models with custom-built components, we offer users an intuitive and powerful interaction experience. Preliminary results demonstrate the successful integration of these components, enabling fluid voice and text interactions with Voice GPT. Our research explores the development process, technical challenges, and user experiences, contributing to the broader field of AI and human–computer interaction. This work paves the way for the future of AI companions and their potential to revolutionize human–AI communication.
