Information Retrieval of Marathi Query from a Linguistic Perspective

This paper uses a new approach for information retrieval over the Marathi query from a linguistic perspective. The model is based on systemic functional linguistics. It also builds a data structure model for Marathi dataset using the same linguistic approach. The paper analyzes the ambiguous word of Marathi query through a method called structural semantic analysis. The Ambiguous word is extracted in a reorganized vector space. The paper then establishes a fuzzy-based model for retrieving Marathi information. By considering the semantic extension of verb–noun–adverb phrases and dictionary learning results, the paper achieves information retrieval over the Marathi data. The retrieval model is created by matching grammatical features of semantic factors. The performance of proposed model is measured and observed that method is accurate and effective for Marathi information retrieval under the systemic functional linguistics approach.
