摘要

Information technology has advanced significantly in recent years, which has led to several changes in IT infrastructure at the organizational, governmental, and individual levels. Cyberspace is closely related to these developments. In addition to playing a large part in the process of globalization in general, cyberspace may have a good influence on enterprises, commerce, and communications. However, there is also the possibility that cyberspace may have a negative impact in the form of crimes committed there. Criminals who operate online are known to engage in unethical and unlawful acts. Even though these crimes do not immediately touch us, we must not disregard them since, regrettably, they may have more serious consequences. Digital forensics is vital in the investigation and gathering of evidence against cybercriminals for crimes committed online. Investigators and law enforcement must gather evidence from computers and digital devices to study these crimes, and they must utilize this evidence to prosecute perpetrators in court. This study examines the roles and responsibilities of digital forensics in the fight against cybercrime.
