Future Research on Graphene Quantum Dots
摘要
GQDs have characteristics that make them the best option for use in a wide range of circumstances. Due to their substantial surface area, a profusion of functional groups, and ease of functionalization with organic, inorganic, or biological molecules, GQDs are used as electrode modifiers. Additionally, they are chemically stable, strong, inert, robust, and photo-resistant against photo-bleaching. Their solubility in water-based solvents has had an impact on their application in targeted drug delivery and bioimaging. GQDs offer attractive optical absorption properties making them suitable candidates for the manufacture of photodetectors or other optoelectronic devices. This chapter's major focuses on future perspectives of GQD-based materials and their challenges in synthesis and tuning photoluminescence properties toward corresponding real-time applications.
