Healthcare and Biological Application of Graphene Quantum Dots

GQDs will largely be utilized for drug molecule screening, cancer biomarker detection, and pharmaceutical component identification. An overview of the synthesis of GQDs and their applications as probes or carriers for sensors, imaging, medication delivery, and disease diagnostics are given in this chapter. Contemporary developments in GQD treatment are also discussed, along with any possible toxicity for both in vitro and in vivo testing. Bioimaging and anti-inflammatory mechanism of action of GQD, and bacterial growth inhibition by various GQD composites are also discussed in this chapter. In addition, recent results, issues, and stability for GQDs and their composites are presented, along with optimal size, toxicity, and challenges for various applications.
