Dashboard cameras, or dash cams, have become essential in enhancing road safety, providing accident evidence, deterring fraud, and promoting responsible driving. This paper explores the compatibility of Tallinn’s traffic cameras for traffic incident documentation. Over 50% of city center intersections are covered, and reliability issues are minimal. The developed mobile application augments traditional dash cams using these cameras, effectively tracking vehicles and documenting incidents. However, it has limitations in capturing pedestrians and cyclists. This integration represents a promising step toward comprehensive traffic incident documentation, combining onboard and intersection camera strengths. Future work should focus on user interface, real-time traffic data integration, and advanced detection methods.

摘要
