The Tortuous Path to Modernization

If we say that the Revolution of 1911 overthrew the autocratic monarchy and opened the floodgates for the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, then the foundation of the People’s Republic of China would be the first step of the nation’s great rejuvenation. The new China was established, and the Chinese people have then taken control of their own country. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese people and the Chinese nation, for the first time, became masters of their own welfare, the nation’s rejuvenation, and the future.
