摘要

In this section, light wavelength conversion applications using luminescent lanthanide coordination compounds are introduced. The light-emitting diodes (LED) and solar cell applications using lanthanide complexes are familiar in the field of coordination chemistry and material science, recently. The characteristic wavelength conversion properties of lanthanide complexes are focused as effective photon energy-active and -saving materials. Agricultural application using wavelength conversion materials including lanthanide complexes is a new approach to tackle with the issue of food crisis in the world. The circularly polarized luminescence of chiral lanthanide coordination compounds is applied in three-dimensional display and high-security tag systems. Wavelength conversion properties of lanthanide coordination compounds contributes development of future photonics, electronics, and energy related industries.
