Machine Learning and IoT in Health 4.0

Industry 4.0, referred to as the fourth industrial revolution, has spawned a new phrase known as Health 4.0. Intelligent machines that have access to vast quantities of data and are able to make decisions without the need for human interaction are at the core of Health 4.0 concept. In order to achieve intelligent and interconnected health care delivery, the process of delivering health care must integrate the Internet of Things (IoT), Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), wearables, various types of medical devices, intelligent sensors, medical robots, etc., with cloud computing, Big Data analysis, artificial intelligence, and various decision support techniques. While Health 4.0 care is beneficial to physicians, it also poses challenges to the technology and research being conducted in this sector. This chapter provides an overview of the fundamentals of Health 4.0, including its benefits and disadvantages, as well as the incorporation of Big Data, machine learning algorithms and the Internet of Things within it. Then, the chapter delves into Management of Health 4.0, which covers topics such as patient relationship management, healthcare data security, health insurance management, drug traceability, prescription management, and mentions several use cases. Finally, the chapter discusses the conclusions and their implications for the future.
