Bone Marrow Biopsy in ICU
摘要
Bone marrow biopsy is a diagnostic process critical to identifying hematological disorders in ICU patients by analyzing the production site of blood constituents—RBCs, WBCs, and platelets. It is particularly useful for diagnosing conditions like pancytopenia, severe thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, and suspected hematological malignancies or infections. Interpretation of bone marrow reports includes assessment of cellularity, erythroid and myeloid lineages, megakaryocytes, and infiltrations, guiding the clinical approach to various pancytopenias and other marrow-related abnormalities.
