Transfusion Reactions in ICU
摘要
This comprehensive review addresses the critical issue of transfusion reactions in intensive care units (ICUs), categorizing various adverse events associated with blood transfusions. The study explores the pathophysiology, clinical presentations, management strategies, and prevention techniques for different types of transfusion reactions, including febrile nonhemolytic, acute hemolytic, allergic reactions, transfusion-associated circulatory overload (TACO), and transfusion-related acute lung injury (TRALI). With an emphasis on improving patient safety and reducing the incidence of these reactions, this article serves as an essential resource for ICU practitioners to enhance bedside patient care through informed monitoring and proactive management of transfusion practices.
