DLMs and VR App Development in Teaching Cell Biology in High Schools

Applying VR technology in biology education transforms teaching methods and introduces creative approaches. It helps visualize complex concepts, deepening students’ understanding of bio-molecules and biological processes. In a study, digital learning materials and a VR application were developed for teaching eukaryotic cell structure. Pre and post-experiment surveys revealed that 87.5% of students found VR technology enhanced motivation and engagement. It fostered an interactive environment, enabling exploration, knowledge acquisition, and the development of a creative mindset. Students reported improved learning outcomes from VR experiences.
