NGOs Before International Courts and Tribunals

NGOs participate in the International Court and Tribunal proceedings as an Amicus Curiae. Their participation depends on the provisions of the statute or rule of procedures of the court and tribunal concerned, and it also depends on court's discretionary powers. In addition, NGOs have played significant role in the establishment of the International Criminal Court and World Bank Inspection Panel.
