Business Ethics

摘要

By 1990s NGOs engaged themselves with business world. The NGOs emphasized on ethics and values which should be integrated with business in the era of globalisation. General Assembly created UN Conference on Trade and Development (1946–1948); its preparatory committee was consultant to NGOs in formation of International Trade Law. Its outcome was GATT, 1947. NGOs used that experience in Uruguay Round 1987–1994. NGOs associated with the WTO and highlighted trade linkage issues like human rights, environment and labour standards. Investment have much more effect on society, in comparison to trade. Investment used in production process or manufacturing of large scale for long duration, its impact is more deep rooted on the ecology, culture and economy on developing countries. NGOs needed cross-learning from states, World Bank, IMF, WTO, corporations and other stake holders.
