摘要

Blockchain technology's recent rapid growth has caused a significant impact on several industries such as logistics, banking, and construction. Since its introduction in 1994 through up to the present, smart contracts based on decentralized ledger data have assisted businesses in resolving several unresolved issues between parties engaged in cooperative activities. Therefore, this study aims to identify the variables influencing firms’ intentions to use smart contracts in Vietnam. It has been confirmed from the research that considerable influence on Vietnamese enterprises’ intention to accept smart contracts use is demonstrated through three out of nine hypotheses, i.e. Government support (GOV), Trading Partner Pressure (TPP), and Relative advantage (ADV), whose levels of impact decrease, respectively. The study’s limitation lies in its focus on some specific places in spite of the country’s large territory and the number of respondents to the survey. It is suggested that future research should take these two factors into consideration for more significant findings.
