Factors Affecting Meaningful Work and Employee Engagement in the Information Technology Industry: Evidence in Ho Chi Minh City
摘要
Employee engagement (EG) and meaningful work (MW) are key factors that influence crucial organizational outcomes like performance, well-being, and job satisfaction. However, little research has been done on the connection between them. This study shows what factors influence MW, which may partly demonstrate the nexus between MW and EG. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM) were used to analyze survey data from 470 employees of information technology (IT) enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City. The results show that job variety, supervisor support, and autonomy are positively and significantly associated with MW. These factors also have a significant and positive impact on EG.
