Rotational Motion

We state the rotational motion of celestial bodies with a finite size. First, we define a rigid body as a special case of a mass point system with constraints. Next, we describe the motion of a rigid body around a fixed point. Then, we extend the motion in the case of no external forces. Finally, we describe the general motion of a rigid body under external torques. As its applications, we discuss simplified solutions of precession and nutation.
