Analysis of the Audiovisual Language of Gary Ross’ Films of the Saga “the Hunger Games”

This research work consists of analyzing the elements of audiovisual language in Gary Ross’ films corresponding to the saga of The Hunger Games. The methodology applied for this research has a qualitative approach, which is based on content analysis, so the observation sheet was used for the collection of information. It was concluded that the sound elements were used in a positive way to make the atmosphere go from less to more while the film showed the development of the characters. On the other hand, in the visual elements category they were used intelligently, especially in the use of shots and camera movements, since the film did not have enough budget and could not afford to make use of wide shots in some locations.
