The Influence of Dynamic Capability’s Factor on SMEs’ Performance: A Systematic Literature Review

Small businesses are an important part of many countries’ economies, providing jobs, and generating income. It could be a key driver of economic growth. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) also certainly experience problems in keeping up with the times, especially in the field of technology. In this study, the authors wanted to know the constraints of using technology for small and medium enterprise (SME) for business owners or customers. The purpose of this literature review of this study is to address the influence of dynamic capability factors on SME performance. This systematic literature review applies a qualitative descriptive method including formulating a title, abstract, analysis, and summary. This systematic literature review uses 14 online databases namely Academia, ACM, AISEL.aisnet.org, CEEOL.com, Emerald, Google Scholar, growingscience.com, IEEE, MDPI, Online Library Wiley, ResearchGate, ScienceDirect, Semantic Scholar, Taylor & Francis. According to the findings, researchers found about 134 articles to be candidate papers from 2,491,509 articles. Then, researchers selected as selected papers about 59 articles that SMEs should consider when deciding whether to implement dynamic capabilities. By using the keywords “SMEs Performance ”, “Dynamic Capability”, “SMEs”, these studies are from various continents, which are from Asia with 133 Countries, Europe with 46 countries, Australia with 5, Africa with 3 countries, and America with 3 countries, with different study programs, which are Business, Computing, and others. There are 137 aspects variables that are divided into seven clusters, which are Technology, Innovation, External, Capability, Entrepreneurial, Process, and Organization.
