Protein Structural Parameters Correlate with Tryptophan Fluorescence Spectra
摘要
Tryptophan is a useful tool for fluorometric tests because of its fluorescent characteristics. Tryptophan fluorescence can be used to ascertain the affinity of peptides containing tryptophan for phospholipid vesicles of different compositions since it is very sensitive to the polarity of the environment. Tryptophan residues’ fluorescence is influenced by the fluorophores’ microenvironment in proteins. As a result, fluorescence properties are frequently employed to investigate protein structural changes.
