摘要

This research attempts to develop a Desiccant-Aided Evaporative Cooling (DAEC) unit designed explicitly for arid climates by incorporating desiccation using silica gel. The study blends theoretical analysis with real-world testing in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, to adjust indoor temperature and humidity for greater comfort. The system's efficacy, which varied from 80 to 85% over several days, is highlighted by a comparison with previous research, and parametric tests investigate performance aspects. A demonstration of a feasibility index of 20.7 highlights this approach's ease of use and effectiveness in arid settings, in contrast to earlier studies that concentrated on highly humid environments.
