Governance of Disruptive Technologies
摘要
A number of disruptive technologies have emerged in the early decades of the twenty-first century. These include man-made ones such as Artificial Intelligence and autonomous machines, ransomware cyber hacking, 5G information communication technology (ICT), quantum computing, gene editing and natural disruptions from viral mutations. Aside from natural mutations, these technologies present both beneficial and negative implications especially when they are abused. Governance of these technologies has become very important to ensure that all related stakeholders focus on the benefits and control and minimise their negative repercussions.
