Common Co-Parenting Mistakes and Associated Orders

  • Don Tustin

摘要

Experience in Australian family law courts shows that it’s easy for parents who separate and dispute access to their children in court to make mistakes that are harmful to their child. The Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCoA) is authorised to make orders that restrain parents from doing things that are likely to be harmful to their children. Similarly, parents who are referred to a child protection court can make mistakes that impact their access to their child. This chapter describes parenting mistakes that are often made by parents in the two court contexts and identifies better practices to manage issues that arise.
