The Rule of Primary Distribution in Social Justice

The rule of primary distribution in social justice stipulates distribution according to contribution. This rule exhibits several key characteristics: it emphasizes the symmetry between giving and receiving, highlights the rewards that individuals receive through their own achievements, and acknowledges the significant disparities in the allocation of social resources such as income among members of society. However, its relevance diminishes with the advancement of modernization. The effective implementation and fulfillment of this rule largely hinge upon several factors: the fairness of the design and execution of corresponding institutions and the prevention of manipulation by particular interest groups; the guarantee of equal basic rights for all members of society; and the presence of an effective and equitable negotiation and consultation mechanism among relevant parties.
