Heat Transfer Study on an Octagonal Solar PV Collector
摘要
The efficient utilization of solar energy through photovoltaic (PV) systems is a key solution for addressing the growing energy demand and reducing reliance on fossil fuels. To enhance the performance of PV collectors, understanding and optimizing heat transfer characteristics is crucial. This paper presents a study on simulating the heat transfer characteristics of an octagonal solar PV collector using steady-state analysis. By employing a data available from the experimental for heat flux loading values, the heat transfer efficiency of the collector is analysed under various operating conditions. The findings provide valuable insights into the thermal behaviour of the octagonal collector and offer opportunities for optimizing its design and operation. This research contributes to the existing knowledge on heat transfer in solar PV collectors, specifically focusing on the unique characteristics of octagonal collectors. The outcomes have implications for the development of more efficient and reliable solar PV systems, advancing the utilization of renewable energy sources and facilitating a sustainable future.
