Diagnosis and Clinical Staging of Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is mostly asymptomatic at an early stage. The presence of symptoms suggests advanced disease. In western countries, most prostate cancers are diagnosed at an early stage due to wide spread screening with serum PSA. Hence, locally advanced and metastatic disease are less common presentation.
