Management of Biochemical Recurrence After Definitive Therapy

Treatment for localized prostate cancer, with either surgery (radical prostatectomy, RP) or radiation therapy (RT), is expected to cure the patient. After treatment (surgery or RT), patients are advised to get their PSA checked at regular intervals. If there is rise in PSA after definitive treatment further evaluation and management is required.
