摘要

The global community is very concerned about the ongoing contamination of the drinking water body by both organic and inorganic pollutants. The textile industry discharged a significant volume of effluent that was poisonous to humans, animals, and the environment because it included xenobiotics and other dangerous organic substances. Hazardous colors found in textile wastewater block sunlight and impair aquatic life. Thus, before wastewater containing dyes is released into the environment, a treatment method needs to be developed. Textile effluent can be treated to remove dyes using a variety of previously discovered physical, chemical, and biological approaches. The technological solution for dye removal is condensed within this chapter. Both the benefits and drawbacks of the strategies are thoroughly covered in the chapter.
