Performance Evaluation of ISM Circular Patch Antennas with Various Feeding Mechanisms
摘要
This paper details the design and comprehensive analysis of a circular microstrip patch antenna, specifically tailored for 5G communication applications. The study employs CST Microwave Studio software to explore the antenna’s behavior using different feeding techniques. The investigation incorporates two distinct substrates, FR4 and Rogers RO3010, within a frequency range spanning from 2 to 8 GHz. The primary focus revolves around evaluating crucial antenna parameters including S11 parameter, Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR), Radiation Pattern, Bandwidth, and Gain. This study meticulously examines the performance of the circular microstrip patch antenna utilizing various feeding methods such as Microstrip feed, CPW feed, Aperture feed, and Proximity feed.
